The end of this fencing season, 2008/09, means some are preparing for Nationals, some are winding down their season, and some who have not competed yet may just say, wait till next season.  But you should seriously consider competing in one of the last events of this season.  Your newly purchased USFA membership will be extended to include all of next season.  You can jump start your fencing experience and get a good value toward next season.  Go For It and COMPETE.

This picture is Jonathan Jacovino (L) fencing Tristan Jones (R) in a foil bout at the U20 national qualifier 12-17-07.  Jonathan was 14 years old then. He placed 4th and qualified to the Junior Olympics.


 


 


 


  

Below is Daniel Rollnick (L) fencing in the U16 foil national qualifier foil event on his way to winning the event.  Notice the scoring box on the wall with the light on indicating Daniel scored a touch.  The date was 12-30-07 and Daniel was 15 years old.
